When i wear foundation, my face gets all dry and peel-y. how do i get it to be clean and sheer?

celebrities look SO perfect when they wear makeup. how do i apply makeup so that its perfect? When i wear foundation, my face gets all dry and peel-y. how do i get it to be clean and sheer?
Make sure you're using the right foundation for your skin type. If your skin is dry and peeling because of your foundation, maybe you should switch. Find a creamier foundation that moisturizes, or switch to a tinted moisturizer instead.

Also, you need to prepare you skin before foundation goes on. Wash your face and apply a good quality lotion beforehand. Exfoliate 2-3 times a week with a grainy cleanser like St. Ives.

Drink a lot of water, too. When you're dehydrated, your skin can look bad and dry. When i wear foundation, my face gets all dry and peel-y. how do i get it to be clean and sheer?
don't wear foundation. simple as that. istead try bare minerals i swear it looks awesome! my mom wears it... i don't but then again i don't wear any makeup :) when i start wearing it i will tho :) it's great!!! I don't really think the warmth or blush is all that great but get the spf foundation, the special brush, and the mineral veil and you r set!
put a moistureizer on first i recomend anything from neutrogina and if you are in the sun a lot use a base that has spf like 8 in it hope it helps
moisturise exfoliate moisturise exfoliate and then do it all again 3 times over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
its best to apply a moisturizer to your face before foundation and you will get a soft shinny look
exfoliate your skin- even if you have to shave your face- and no- it won't grow back like whiskers- all models shave the hair off their face. Moisturize, apply foundation, and then powder.

I get compliments all the time, and I am 50 looking 35.
Don't buy it at the $.99 store! Make sure your skin color matches the make-up; pay to have it done once at a department store and get tips from them; do it in natural light so you don't walk outside and find you have a 'mask' on; less is more; there is a difference between day and evening make-up; make the make-up match the event...
