I havent been able to find a good sheer skin foundation that is a good match for my skin. Any suggestions?

The problem I find is that they are not sheer enough and go on like a mask. Obviously, I havent found the right kind. What are your suggestions and do you have any tips for how to select a good match when shopping for skin foundation?I havent been able to find a good sheer skin foundation that is a good match for my skin. Any suggestions?
You may want to take a bit of the foundation that you hate the least that you have already purchased, and mix it in the palm of your hand with some oil free face moisturizer to give it a bit more sheerness. Makes no sense to me to spend the same amount of money on something u want really sheer as you would full coverage stuff.

After you use what you have, try the minerals, they work pretty good and the coverage is very light and natural.

When selecting foundation, apply it along your jaw line and then look at it in natural light. If it almost disappears, its a good match, if you can see a line of coloration between where it was applied and your un-made up skin, it isnt the right choice.I havent been able to find a good sheer skin foundation that is a good match for my skin. M.A.C. is the best !!
Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse is pretty good, not heavy and sheer enough to look natural. Getting a good match is tricky. Beauty specialists and department stores can help but sometimes you they pressure you to buy their expensive products which is ok if you are up for that. In my personal experience I have never finished a high end foundation and they have gone rancid with lack of use except for Bare Essentuals Foundation and Mineral Veil. I don't always wear foundation. Nowadays I just buy a drug store brand and try to match the color exactly which can be hard in the store. If you go that way, buy it from Rite Aid, they accept cosmetic returns, just save you're receipt.
proactiv foundation works really good!!! bare minerals is also very good
Do I have News for you? I had been searching for the same thing for years, but I finally found it. Check out everydayminerals.com. The company sends samples for free so you would know what your shade is without spending any money. Also, the minerals are buildable meaning that depending on how much coverage you want, you can apply a sheer or thicker layer or layers. The minerals are pure and you would enjoy wearing them on a daily basis. Good Luck!
I have pretty good skin so I just use a tinted moisturizer kike cover girl or maybelline
go with a tinted moisturizer guys don't like all that makeup and you probably don't need the thickness of foundation anyway or if you do find a foundation add moisturizer with spf 15
Try Mary Kay Dual Coverage Foundation. To find a consultant in your area go to www.marykay.com
Go to a place like Sephora or one of the major department store makeup counters - they often have people who can show you products that match your skin tone and can point you in the direction of the lighter things.

Personally, I use Smashbox - it's heavier than you describe what you want, but I need the full coverage. Sephora does have a lot of lighter ones though. And they have samples of everything for you to play with in the store.
Someone else said bare minerals. You can get another version of this much cheaper at a drug store. Pysicians Formula brand is 1/2 the price (or even less) I can just use their powder and have given up foundation! The secret is MICA instead of talc. Most powders have talc that clog your pores and mica based formulas are much better for the skin. (I always wore THICK makeup before I tried this and my skin have actually gotten better since using mica)
I suggest you to try Mary Kay fundation! I use it for many years and it is realy nice! Natural looking and differs by the tipe of skin

When searching for a good sheer foundation..smear some on ur jaw bones..spread it..if the foundation goes on clear on ur skin..dat means that's the foundation for u..
Try MAC SPF 15 Tinted Moisturizer or Studio Finish Matte Foundation both are very sheer and true to skin color. For selecting an every day foundation visit a cosmetic counter and try foundations on your face, not on your wrist. For daily wear a powder foundation is great. If you are going to have your picture taken or be taped on video ( Bride, Prom, etc) it is advisable to try the foundation on your neck to avoid the ';lighter face'; effect or you might want to choose your foundation a shade darker. Another very important thing is your skin type, oily, normal or dry. Knowing this will help you choose the right formula/ texture
try LOREAL TRUE MATCH
