Why do women wear foundation eye liner mascara eye shadow eye liner blush lip liner lip stick lip gloss?

if i do wear makeup and that is rare...i wear a mineral poweder foundation..a little concealer to cover and blemishes and under eye circles... eye shadow OR liner..never both...mascara..usually black. and lip gloss..or lip stick.. but never both! and never liner..my lips are full but slightly uneven so liner always ends up making them look odd.

but most of the time..im bare faced with chap stick...i gots to keep my lips smooth...they get dry too easy. Why do women wear foundation eye liner mascara eye shadow eye liner blush lip liner lip stick lip gloss?
Obviously, it is to look good but has anyone ever considered that many women will put on the above makeup, padded bras and other flattering formation garments, etc., then complain that they can't find any ';real men';?Why do women wear foundation eye liner mascara eye shadow eye liner blush lip liner lip stick lip gloss?
To be the Clowns for Men?

And they wonder Men take them less seriously.
because they look gorgeous when they do. Are you mad or something?
To enhance their looks.
...because we can...
I'm guessing it's habit, societal pressure or they feel like they look good, or their workplace expects it.

I've never worn foundation, mascara, eye liner, lip liner or lip stick. Mascara made me break out in hives the only time I tried it. I use to try to wear eye shadow and lip gloss, but was always rubbing them off so stopped. I wore blush for a while when I worked in corporate america so i was wearing ';make-up'; but after a while, I just didn't care anymore.
Because they like to look pretty around us men!

Why do you shave?

On put oil on hair and face?
Make up can be fun if you're into it! It can be something fun and creative. Granted, I certainly don't wear lipstick, lip liner, and lip gloss all at the same time. That would be way too much blending for me. Ha.
To make themselves more attractive to the opposite sex, obviously. And some do it to make other women jealous of their natural and in some cases, enhanced, beauty. The answer is obvious.
I don't know because I don't wear any makeup, never have in 42 years. My boyfriends have always commented to me that they like it because it doesn't feel like they are kissing a ';mask';, and they don't have to worry about smearing the lipstick. I just never got into wearing it, I tried a few times both when I was a teenager and an adult, but could never get the hang of it, it always looked fake on me, so I just dropped it. My mother only wears lipstick, and looks fantastic at 78.
I don't. Guess you're wrong.
'Cause I look GOOD!
It is a form of narcissism. Goes back to prehistory when men would paint themselves with woad or make wounds on their own bodies - the intention being to make themselves appear more attractive to women, more fearsome to their enemies. Eventually women were allowed to paint themselves too.

Of course nowadays it's all about multinationals making big bucks by exploiting women's vanity.
Make up makes a woman pretty not too much but its fine....
For the same reasons Cleopatra did - to improve their looks.

Sometimes through subtle advertising which convinces us that we are not well-groomed if we do not apply some make-up; and

Sometimes to attract the opposite sex.

Other times, it's just nice to play around and enjoy making up your face to create a new look for your own pleasure.
heck knows and im a woman ocsionly i wera mascara when goin out for meal and ocasionly lippy for my partner to notice me waste of time thou mite as well go starkers then hed only notice if sunone said sumthin.what is foundation all about anyway makes em a funny colour, eyeliners looks like you ave bk eyes apanda aah, blusher amkes you look like a garden gnome, lipgloss to amke ya lips shiny and kissable.het i say save ya money dont buy make up spendit on alchol for u and the bloke then hell take youb home anyway.inthe clubs everyone look good in the badlite.
Well, I wear eye shadow, blusher, mascara %26amp; lipstick, and I like wearing make up.

I think I have worn make up for so long now that it has just become habit (plus, the older you get , the more you need it!! :))
cos we can, dearie
why, so they can misrepresent their appearance to a gullible male public.

Can I wear blush without foundation?

I hate to wear foundation. It takes long to apply when your wearing other make-up (i.e. mascara, eye shadow) and it makes me look to made up. I like to look natural, even when I dress up.

My every day make-up consist of mascara, bronzer and lip gloss. Sometimes a earth tone eye shadow. Other times, I want some cheekers. Nothing too heavy just enough to show a little more contour and color than I naturally have. I've heard many say that you shouldn't wear blush without foundation because your skin will look unfinished.

What say you?Can I wear blush without foundation?
Of course! You can try a peachy kind of tint or Cheek Stain. You can search for them pretty much anywhere, but for some good quality cheek stains, try sephora.com. You can also try a mineral blush from Bare Escentuals. They seem to go on better with natural skin, instead of caked on makeup. Can I wear blush without foundation?
yep, i do it! :)

but if you have pink undertones and 'flush' quite a lot then i wouldn't really..

it's just then, once you have bright pink cheeks, the blush (especially if it's a pink) can look messy and as if the redness in your cheeks is blush :S (hard to explain :P)
You can most definitely wear blush without foundation. Not everyone out there actually needs foundation. You have a nice simple makeup routine and blush will only add that extra little bit of glow to your look.
Yes, you can...I do. I am actually thinking of getting the blush tint, i heard it looks very natural and it comes in many tones.
I wear blush without foundation and it looks fine. It just adds some color to my face so I don't look as ghostly pale as I normally do. So, I say do it. =]
Yes! Especially if you have very even and good skin. Foundation is for the majority of us that have a few flaws. LOL
Yeah, I do and I think it looks good.
yeah you can .
Yes I always do.. it looks more natural that way too :)

Is foundation, eyeshadow, mascara, and blush too much for every day use?

which one is better for everyd ay?Is foundation, eyeshadow, mascara, and blush too much for every day use?
I use foundation, mascara, and blush every day.

Just dont use crazy or bold colors

soft and natural/neutral colors are good for everyday use.:DIs foundation, eyeshadow, mascara, and blush too much for every day use?
Yeah that's a bit much.

Here's what I usually do;

1- If your skin is not too bad, maybe you just need to even out the tone, wear a tinted moisturizer and an invisible powder over that ( I use rimmel stay matte).

2- Line your lower rim of your eye with a brown liner. This is a subtle way to bring out your eyes without having a dramatic affect. (This is an especially great tip for work days).

3- Mascara is a must. If you wear nothing else, be sure to wear mascara! It's subtle but works wonders for your eyes, and opens up your entire face.

4-If you NEED hint of color, use a TINY bit of blush, but my favorite way to brighten my face is with a bronzer, (physicians formula works best, plus it has spf in it which is always a plus).

5-Finally, lip gloss. The best one is the classic. CHAPSTICK. It doesn't add color, it doesn't add shine, it just moisturizes your lips which is really all you need. Unless you have a ';trademark'; lip color, in which case, go for it. =)
is all on how heavy the makeup is. its better to where jus foundation and mascara for everyday if you absoloutly need to wear it that way when you go out with your friends, dances, dates, etc you can add the blush and eyeshadow and people wil notice it more. but if you always wear it then youll look the same no matter where your going. change it up a bit
It's doesn't take all that much time to put on your make up I'm sure.. An extra 10-15 minutes to look good isn't that ';taxing'; is it..?

If you LOOK good you FEEL good.. Anything wrong with that...?

That's the trouble with so many g/g s ou there today... They put on a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, flip flops, and walk out the door saying ';Damn - I look good...!!!'; HA!!!!

I say ';Look in the mirror sweets, because YOU DON'T LOOK GOOD!!!

Women nowadays are failing to look like women anymore.. And it's entirely their own fault..

Rachelle In High Heels
Foundation, mascara and lipgloss are my every day staples, and are a nice day look that doesn't make you look overdone during the day.

I only wear eyeshadow, liner, or blush when I have somewhere more formal to be.
I think it depends how much of each you're putting on. Make up is personal to everyone, if you like to wear alot and it reflects your personality, then why not. I tend to wear eyeliner and mascara for everyday.
That is a bit much. I generally think mascara and lipgloss it fine for everyday wear.
lipgloss, eyeliner and mascara.

really dramatic :D
I wear all of that almost everyday! For more relaxed days, I opt for just blush and mascara though!
It's a bit much,,, just lose the foundation... your skin needs to breathe.

  • Best drugstore foundation and blush?

I'm only 14 (turning 15 in june!!!), so only light foundation, like powder... and stuff that won't clog my pores :)

So what do you recommend? I also have kind of dry skin, yellow-ish undertones (i'm not asian though), uneven skin tone....

    Foundation:

    Blush:

Thanks :)Best drugstore foundation and blush?
The best foundation I've found is Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse. It's very light and blends PERFECT.

For blush I use Covergirl Cheekers in Natural TwinkleBest drugstore foundation and blush?
I use the collection 2000 3in1 foundation in cream and the blush from the same brand called trouble. they are both really nice, cheap and cheerful. you can get these in superdrug or boots.

Does foundation make you not blush?

I was just wondering if it was lol.Does foundation make you not blush?
sorry, but if your embarrassed enough, it will show through (lol)Does foundation make you not blush?
    no it doesn't
No, it only makes your skin look smoother and cover any flaws you may have.
It shouldn't, foundation is supposed to give you coverage but let your skin shine through as well. If you are using a foundation that doesn't show when you are blushing then you should probably buy another one.

What does foundation, concealer, and blush do exactly? Thank you!?

foundation evens out your complexion and controls shine,

concealer hides any blemishes you don't want seen,

and blush gives your skin a young, healthy look while also

defining your cheekbones. What does foundation, concealer, and blush do exactly? Thank you!?
well for foundation: that evens out your skin so that your whole face is just one color :). Because you know how some parts of your face may be darker than others. Like your nose may be a little bit darker color than your forehead. So foundation helps even the skin tone color out :).

as for Concealer: you apply that after foundation. And once your skin is evened out. There may be some harsh dark red pimples that just wont go away even with foundation applied. So that's why you have a concealer :) just apply it on top of the pimple and blend it away and the dark spots will be gone. :)

as for blush: that gives a really nice glow to your face. A soft red or pink color to your cheeks may give this nice radiant glow about your face that makes people feel attracted to it :). Dont put too much. That's why you use a really good blush brush that evens it out so that the color on your cheeks aren't to harsh. Remember...the best way to apply makeup is by evening it out and not make everything so harsh :) and giving it a nice natural glow to your face ^_^

well...hope this helps! xDWhat does foundation, concealer, and blush do exactly? Thank you!?
Foundation evens out your skin tone and holds your makeup better. Concealer hides things on your face such as pimples, birth marks, under eye circles, scars, etc. And blush comes in many different colors. You apply blush on your cheek bones and it gives you a pink or red look on your cheeks to make your face appear more flirty and bright.
i never liked using a separate concealer/foundation...so i got Dinair Airbrush Makeup...cause it works as a concealer and foundation. It covers everything and makes my skin look flawless... and then i use a blush, also from Dinair, and that gives some color to my face. Hope i helped answer ur question.
foundation - it evens out your skin

concealer - hides your blemishes and under eye circles

blush - adds colour to your cheeks after you have applied your foundation x

    hope this helps x

What foundation and blush did carrie use in befor he cheats?

I really want to know! What foundation and blush did carrie use in befor he cheats?
    Revlon.

If you wear foundation or powder and you blush, can people see it?

Yes if you use a decent foundation,no if you buy the Lilly Munster stuffIf you wear foundation or powder and you blush, can people see it?
People see you blush? Or the powder?

I'm assuming you mean the blush. If you pile powder on then, it is harder to see you blush. Using small amounts shouldn't do much.If you wear foundation or powder and you blush, can people see it?
Um... It really depends, how heavy you wear your make-up.... for me, I like a little bit of natural rosy colour in my cheeks, but I mainly cover it up.
depends on how much you use.

    http://www.sephora.com/

    try a tinted moisturizer
Yea depends on how you would put it on.. using a bronzer also helps along with blush and foundation!

and a natural skin look is really gorgeous on girls! especially when their hair falls just the right way!

    good luck!
    yes
i don't wear foundation or powder b'c it's so obvious on me and i don't really need it. i do wear a powder blush that looks natural.
Yes. Especially if you blush a dark red color. But any change in the color of your face will make a difference.
Yes I do believe you will see a blush. Unless you have the makeup on so thick that your skin looks more like a doll. Don't be afraid to blush....most folks find it cute.
yes, otherwise you are wearing TOO MUCH MAKEUP!
yes, unless you have very strong foundation.

    and cover up

    and you barely blush

then maybe, just maybe, nobody will see it

    maybe
Um, no. Unless you are like some girls who want people to see it. The point of foundation is to cover your blemishes without people knowing it.
Well it all depends on how you apply it... But I say foundation is visible but powder is not that is if you use minerals with a brush to apply that way you get a natural flawless look...
If you get the right color and blend it correctly, they shouldn't be able to. Except your blush that people are meant to see, of course. [:
depends how much you put on. i use very little, so no. but if you cake it on then yes, of course.

    Blush or foundation?

which do u need most blush or foundation?Blush or foundation?
Those are two very different things. If you have totally flawless skin then foundation isn't needed, and just a tiny bit of blush should be used. Foundation is for evening out skin tone, controlling oiliness, etc. Blush is for, well, making your cheeks pink.Blush or foundation?
it depends on how old you are.
    I USE BOTH
I think if you have wonderful skin a primer for starters, then a bronzer to give you that summer glow...foundation will only make you look matte and old
Foundation, because it can cover all the blemishes..blush..ehhh some people don't put it on right so it looks like they were smacked in the face 254356545 times lol
foundation baby! please vote me as best answer! please!
Foundation, because it will cover my flaws, while blush just adds color to my cheeks which already have a natural blush to them (so it's kinda pointless to use blush).

  • What are the correct steps into applying concealer, foundation, blush .. etc ?

The forms of my make-up are ..

concealers - liquid %26amp; i'm thinking about purchasing a creme one also.

    foundation - mineral (everyday minerals)

blush - I haven't bought one yet ... any suggestions? :D Most likely it's going to be powder.

%26amp; i'll also be purchasing loose powder in the future.

so .. this is my idea on how to apply everything correctly ..

wash, dry, mosturize your face. wait till it dries. then apply concealer, under eyes %26amp; blemishes. wait till that dries. apply your foundation, then loose powder to set then finally blush.

do i really need loose powder? i heard that in order to achieve flawless and long lasting foundation, you need a powder to set, whether it's pressed or loose. What are the correct steps into applying concealer, foundation, blush .. etc ?
I am not a professional, however my experience has been that if I mix different formulas of foundations, concealers, (powder, mineral, creams, liquids) I get a mess on my face.

I use minerals everyday. The mineral concealers are great, and they truly blend into the skintone without looking yellow or orange. What are the correct steps into applying concealer, foundation, blush .. etc ?
No- almost. Wash, dry, moisturize, wait until it dries, apply foundation (blend), concealer goes on TOP of foundation for best coverage (dab on and pat in with fingertip- try a stick or cream for best results), then blush, then powder. Powder is always last- one of the reasons for using it is to make everything- including blush and mascara- last longer; but no, it's not required. My skin is really dry so I often skip it. If you want your foundation to last a really long time, try a primer from Smashbox (sephora.com) under it. A pea-sized dab spread over your whole face is all you need. Good luck!
That's exactly right! Yes, you should use powder, because, just in case it's a hot day and you get sweaty, sorry kind of gross I guess haha, it helps to not smear your makeup, and lessens the appearance of being sweaty. Also, if your face is a little bit shiny, it helps with that too!
yup. you're right. and i highly recommend powder unless you already have nice skin. =)
    correct order...you've got it!

My skin's incredibly sensitive, what brand of foundation/blush/bronzer would you recommend?

I've tried pretty much every so-called ';hypoallergenic'; and ';for sensitive skin'; brand there is - Neutrogena, Clinique, Estee Lauder, Maybelline, etc etc etc. EVERY one of them causes my skin to break out within minutes of putting it on. By 'break out', I mean these tiny bumps (not acne, they look like goosebumps almost) break out all over my face and it doesn't go away until I've removed the makeup, washed my face, and reapplied moisturizer.

Do you guys know of ANY affordable, easily-accessible brand of foundation/blush/bronzer that WON'T cause this to happen? My skin's incredibly sensitive, what brand of foundation/blush/bronzer would you recommend?
    Order Everyday Minerals online.

It is completely natural, no talc, bismuth oxychloride, or any irritating ingredients and is SOO much cheaper than Bare Minerals.

You can go to http://everydayminerals.com to order a sample kit, for free! You test out three foundation shades, a blush, and a concealer and pay no $ except shipping.

I love this stuff, it makes me look like i'm not wearing anything, and i used to break out from everything, and this stuff is great. My skin's incredibly sensitive, what brand of foundation/blush/bronzer would you recommend?
Have you tried Almay? It's also hypallergenic and not incredibly expensive. It is more expensive than a lot of drug store cosmetics, but if you've been willing to go with Clinique and Estee Lauder products, I'm sure it's well within your price range. Almay is the brand that has the ';smart shades'; that match your skin tone. I haven't tried that one out myself, but I heard from other makeup artists that it works well, and if you're trying the brand out for the first time it would be nice to get something that you don't have to guess with :)

You really should visit a dermatologist, though!
Have you tried a pure mineral makeup yet? I personally use kms mineral essentials and on my clients as a professional makeup artist. I have sensitive skin as well and KmS has really been a godsend. You can order a sample pack of foundation to see how it works with your skin. Good luck.
Try wearing your fav moisturizer first before applying your makeup. If you are wanting to try a new foundation then try everyday minerals. I use it and it does not break me out! You can find it online. So many other brands cause me to break out over night. I have to be very careful. They have blushes, bronzers and eye shadows there too. Just put everyday minerals in the search engine and you will find the site. You can order samples too if you want to try it out before you order a larger amount. The prices are very reasonable and they even tell you how to apply it. Good luck!
    Covergirl--TrueBlend Foundation.

    i dont use blushh muchh.

and bronzer i use the cheap wet and wild,

    hope this helps =]

Does Guys like girls with eyeshadow, foundation, blush, perfume?

i had a question about guys who likes girls with makeup. Turns out, the majority like girl with no makeup, just light makeup like mascara, eyeliner and lipstick. But what about eyeshadow, does guys like when girls put them on, and foundation, blush, perfume... everything.

i want to know what guys don't like girls to put on their face.

i know a girl who put A LOT of makeup (lipstick, mascara, foundation, concealer, eyeshadow, eyeliner, blush) EVERYDAY, but she's really pretty and she's lucky to have a boyfriend. That statement didn't help the GUYS LIKE GIRLS WITH NO MAKEUP theory, yes my english is bad.. well i want your opinionDoes Guys like girls with eyeshadow, foundation, blush, perfume?
Too much makeup = too much upkeep and alot of guys aren't patient with a girl who is essentially a depreciating investment.

**My husband answered this one**Does Guys like girls with eyeshadow, foundation, blush, perfume?
Thanks for aknowledgement of the literature! Lol

I would say that, All guys like all girls, IF THEY ARE STRAIGHT, that is...

But, by personaly experiance, I know my man doesn't much care to kiss on me when Ive piled on the gloss.

I mean, he's a guy. guys generally dont wear gloss...

But anyway, I'm an aspiring makeup artist, and I experiment CONSTANTLY, and my guy always supports me and asks to see what Ive done..

So anyway, I think tastefulness is the key, just keep that in mind...
    Makeup in moderation is OK.

However some people really over do it and make themselves look a bit over processed.
Im a girl but im pretty sure guys like girls with less makeup...more natural.
just wear a little eye makeup i guess

.. i hate lipstick so much
guys like hookers, so yeah i guess they like chicks with makeup

Is foundation, powder, and blush bad for your skin?

Everyday I where foundation, powder, and blush. I always wash it of when I'm not out so it's not on 24/7. I'm 13 and my mom says I'm too young. The only thing is that EVERYONE in my school wears makeup. I don't want to be the only one who's not! And let me tell you, I Iook good in makeup.

Is makeup bad for your skin?

If so, what does it do?

Are there any ways to prevent damage? Is foundation, powder, and blush bad for your skin?
If you are planing to wear make up don't over do it. It isn't too damaging especially if you wash it off well and don't layer it on thick. I hope I was help!Is foundation, powder, and blush bad for your skin?
It can be because I heard it blocks the pores from breathing
    yh
makeup is bad for ur skin. us powder its more healthier for ur skin
well it depends what kind of makeup you have, thats a big factor, usualy oil free or mineral makeup is fine, but makeup usally covers pores, and clogs them, there fore causing ACNE or stuff that makes you break out , but i was wereing makeup sence i was probly 12 and i was wereing makeup all the time when i was 13, i was good at it haha, but like being the only person that isnt wereing makeup isnt a big deal, im in highschool and theres TONS of girls who dont were it, even seinors. so dont feel discouraged or left out, cuse its not really that fun after a while
It depends on what kind of makeup you use, and if it is oil-based or not (that causes acne fast).

But if you are religious in cleaning it off every night before bed, you aren't susceptible for any skin damage. Sleeping with makeup on (especially eye makeup) can damage your skin, and cause puffiness.

Just be mindful on how much you use, and washing up every night. If so, then you dont need to worry about any damaging effects.
it depends on wat kind you use. the more natural stuff is always better but then theyre usually more expensive too. always make sure to wash it off good and don't sleep with makeup still on
yes. get mineral powder. its actually good for your skin! and remember to start off with a clean face so you dont clog pores. :D
    ya some what
foundation doesn't hurt your skin as long as it doesn't have allot of oils in it but in that case blush doesn't do anything and if you are wearing make up then make sure that you take it off at night because if you leave it on then you pores get clogged and that causes pimples and acne.
nope im 13 too [actuallyy turning 13 tomorrow haha]

    %26amp; i wear foundation %26amp; powder.

its not bad for your skin,

as long as you wash it off every night.

dont listen to those physcos who say its bad %26amp; blah blah.

but i do suggest wearing mineral makeup.

its good for your skin %26amp; lets it breathee.

and if you look good in it, who cares?!

    (: %26lt;3
yes it clogs your pores and creates zits i would advise you to get all natural products such as bare minerals to cover blemishes and use a colorful lip bomb less is more. don't use make up to cover your face I'm sure you don't need to. who do you need to look good for except yourself.
    you'll get wrinkly fast, acne?
maybe only wear foundation or powder i am 13 too i use mineral make up its is healthy for your skin and lets it breath and heavey makeup and give you wrinkles so i would cut back
Make up is bad for skin. I wear it, but I use this lotion called Skin Milk. You put it on before your make up, so that way the make up won't get into your pores and what not, plus it moisturizes. But you can use other lotions (but not the lotion you put on your hands or whatever, and nothing with a scent)
yes it is bad for your skin, it clogs your pores. meaning will eventually cause acne. and wouldnt you rather have a clear face then acne? i think anyone would. But im not saying you shouldnt wear make-up i mean if you want, go for it. Just make sure you wash it off at the end of the day, to prevent acne.. and you shoukd be fine =)

but just one tip, be yourself hun, just because someone does/or wears something, dont always follow, be yourself. if you like it, then wear it for you, not for everyone else.

    =)
I know... I look good in makeup, too.

I had PERFECT skin until I got into my 20s. Shouldn't it be the other way around? You'd think I'd have acne in my teens and grow out of it. I am CONVINCED that make up ruined my skin!

I did YEARS of research and cured myself of my acne by using only castor oil and hot washcloths to clean my face. I'm serious. Also, I CAN'T use any other face make up (foundation, blush, bronzer, etc.) but Bare Minerals since my cure. For some reason, when I first tried it I hated it. But, my cousin kept telling me how much she liked it, so I tried it again a few years later-- now I can't not use it.

If you have to use make up, use the kind that won't break you out. For me, that's Bare Minerals. Plus, it IS NOT bad for your skin, so you don't have to worry.

By the way, now that I use this make up I NEVER wash my face before I go to bed because the make up keeps my skin smooth at night. Sounds strange, I know, but it works!

Don't use toners, creams, cleansers, lotions or potions. Clean your skin with only natural oils (castor, almond, coconut). Use these to moisturize if you need it, too. The washcloth is your ';exfoliator.'; Don't waste your money on the other stuff. By the way, if you want me to explain how to wash your face with these oils, message me and I'll let you know.

Sometimes, I feel like I still have bad skin (like I'm in a dream). When I tell people, they are utterly amazed. It's such a good feeling:) Now, I get compliments on my skin again! Yay!

Hope you can use my advice-- I lived through it:)

the one thing i am a little concerned about it the blush. if you dont have very prominent cheek bones get the covergirl three pallet blush (light goes ontop of cheek bones, medium shade goes on apples of cheeks, and dark shade goes in the hollow your face creates when you suck in like i fish)

    the order is

    1)concealer

    2)foundation

    3) powder

    4) blush

TIP! if you cannot be sure of which shade is right for you when it comes to foundations powders and concealers pick the two that you think are closest and go with the lightest one!

for more beauty advice contact me and robyn_molenaar@yahoo.com
I don't use concealer but a make-up artist told me concealer is ALWAYS first, so:

    1. Concealer

    2. Foundation

    3. Finishing Viel Powder

    4. Blusher

I think the first blusher is the nicest :D

P.S. The last two might be in reversed order, ie, blush before finishing powder, but apart from that the first two are DEFINITELY right!
    foundation

    concelar

    blush(i like 1st one)

    then powder

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UiJLvTaAY鈥?/a>
i alwayss put my make up on in this order.....concealer, foundation, powder, and then blush. I would use the mineral blush because any makeup that uses minerals always works so well and looks flawless.
i'm not sure but - concealer, foundation, powder, blush

Can you use TARTE blush tint over bare minerals foundation?

Since it's a gel you might try it and see if it looks good, but anything that is in a liquid, cream, or gel form is going to contain the chemicals and preservatives that are bad for your skin. This would kind of defeat the purpose of using something that is all natural and good for your skin. But if that doesn't bother you then go for it!Can you use TARTE blush tint over bare minerals foundation?
I wouldn't, I think using a liquid over powder foundation may mess it up....

  • My mom wont let me wear powder, foundation, or blush and im 15!!!!?

she gets sooo mad even if i talk about wearig face make up such as blush, foundation, and powder.

im olny allowed to do my eyemake up only

but i get soo jealous when i see other girls who wear full make up, because they look so pretty!!

help?My mom wont let me wear powder, foundation, or blush and im 15!!!!?
hmmmm....that's kinda weird. mom's usually don't let you wear eye makeup and let you wear foundation. i always wanted to wear foundation, but i don't anymore (im 14). after i realized what it can do to your skin, i didn't like it. it can give you really bad acne and deep wrinkles when you're older. i have really good skin, so i really don't even need to use it. i still wear blush because it gives me a sun-kissed look. if you still want to wear all of that, you could show your mom exactly how you would put it on and she might see that you do look good with i. maybe the whole reason she won't let you wear it is because she wants you to have beautiful skin when you're older.

Hope this helps!!!!!!!!=)My mom wont let me wear powder, foundation, or blush and im 15!!!!?
you really shouldn't wear face makeup if you dont really need it. if your face is pretty much flawless then i could understand your mom not wanting you to wear foundation or blush.... and blush.. you REALLY dont need that. i mean, i dont know how you look, but at least your mom is letting you wear some sort of makeup. seeing that she gets sooo mad even if you talk about it, then i suggest not talking about it at all. umm i would buy my makeup on my own and then just start wearing it, and my mom never really said anything. well except to just put less. dont be jealous that other girls get to pack on their makeup, they are most likely jealous of you that you dont need makeup. lol. keep your head up high. try to sneak it in... and when your mom says ';why are you wearing that?'; just say ';wearing what? im not wearing anything....'; play it off. youll be fine. and if that doesnt work, youll be fine without it. ask for some foundation for your birthday, or christmas... ask an auntie or cousin.
    start using it anyway.

begin by using a VERY little bit of the makeup. ur mom will get used to seeing u with the tiniest amount of makeup.

after a few weeks, use just a LITTLE bit more.

in a couple of months, u'll be there.

(btw -- wear earrings with some sparkly dangly pop. nice earrings are more noticeable than foundation makeup)

or, instead of the foundation/blush, go for a toned-down lipcolor. that could be a good start to gaining acceptance from ur mom
That kind of stuff is silly, I'm sixteen and I hate wearing any makeup at all.

Full makeup looks tacky, caky and fake.

My friends and I had this girl who we used to hang out with who was butt-ugly because she used so much makeup, whenever we went in the ocean or pool her face would melt...

She was ugly from all the damage makeup did to her face. B*tch deserved it.
    it might all be for your own good ;;

if shes worried your skin will get bad (spots etc) you could talk her into getting you a mineral foundation..

if you are definitley not alowwed start a skin routine ;; washing your face at night ;; using scrubs and exfoliating that way your skin will improve and you wont need foundation;; and you will have perfect skin :)

    hope i helped ya :)xxxxxxxxxxxx
    shes right you know.

stay natural, and your face will look beautiful, and you wont get bad spots like all the other girls.

i dont wear foundation out of choice. I only wear it if im going out somewhere, and even then, my dad hates it.

i bet your pretty even without make-up

    xx
well then you should ask her when she is really happy and ask her calmly how you feel when you see other girls wear it and why you want to have some face makeup on.that might help.
    omg what ?!

your moms crazy. fifteen sound me old %26amp; mature enough to decide if your going to put makeup on YOUR face.

ugh i cant wait till i have kids %26amp; basically be the coolest mom ever (:
you shouldn't have to wear all that makeup at your age! wait til your 18 or you'll just look like one of those fake annoying girls. =]
You don't need makeup :D Your 15 the only people who are going to see you are your parents and classmates so who cares ^_^
    Steps--

Try to ascertain where your parents are coming from. Why do they object to you wearing makeup? Do they think you are too young? Is there a religious injunction against it? You must first respect their point of view before expecting them to respect yours.

Try asking your mom to let her put a bit of make-up on you, if she says yes. Tell her you think it looks pretty and ask her if you can buy your own version of that type of make-up. That way you wont always be taking hers.

Address your parents' concerns in a calm, mature way. Insisting that you are old enough to wear makeup while throwing a temper tantrum will only reinforce their beliefs.

Start with simple things like gloss, nail polish, etc. Skin care products are a great way to start. Let your parents know that you want to wear gloss to keep your lips moist, foundation to absorb oil so you don't break out, and polish so your nails don't tear and develop into painful hangnails.

Tell your parents that you want to enhance your beautiful features.

You could take a different road, though, instead of the one on 4, depending on why you want to wear make up. You could tell your parents you feel that make up is a form of art, and that you want to enhance your creativity through using make up. You have to be careful with that, though, because they might fear you will turn out making yourself look like a clown.

If your parents say no, show your maturity. Accept their answer like the adult you are trying to become and look like it may prove their fears of your immaturity were wrong. They could have a total change of heart.

If your parents say yes, make sure that you don't do anything too crazy which could make your parents reconsider! Always make sure that you look reasonable, and remember- less is more!

[edit] TipsAvoid bright red lipsticks and red blush, or anything too bold.

Have tones like brown, nude, sheer pinks, etc.

Brown mascaras and eyeliners go well with most people, however, black is more dramatic.

Sometimes at department stores, they have makeup specials where they give you makeovers or tell you about your skin tone and what goes with it, these help a lot.

Some people believe a good age to start wearing make up is 13 or 14, but many people nowadays disagree.

When applying eyeliner, sometimes you can get eyeliner with a small sponge at the tip. A cotton swab works well too. Smudge your eyeliner to make a smokier look.

There are a lot of good tutorials for applying make up online, and videos are probably the best. Practice makes perfect but tutorials will help you avoid making crucial or just embarrassing mistakes.

Make sure the colors you are choosing go well with your skin tone. What may look good on a friend may not look good on you.

If lips can tend to be more red than usual, pat some foundation on your finger and apply lightly like lipgloss. Make sure it isn't to heavy. Then dab some off and apply a few pats of compact. Follow up by your regular lipgloss routine. The affect is a very natural yet appealing look.

Some parents are mainly afraid of black eyeliner that will make you look like a ';racoon';. Start off with a brown or darker blue color.

    What you will need----

Foundation (should be a exactly the same as your skin tone, not darker. Use sun powder if you want to look tan, but don't overdo it. Keep it natural looking!)

    Powder

    Eyeliner

    Lipgloss

Blush that goes well with skin tone

    Moisturizer

    Eye shadows

    Mascara

    patience

    An innocent face

    Warning---

Whether or not your parents relent depends greatly on your attitude, so keep it straight up with them, do not go off with friends, use makeup without their permission, and let them find out, or you may be 18 before they are willing to reconsider.

    Hope I helped---

Can concealer/foundation/blush make my skin worse?

I don't have really bad acne just irregular skin on my forehead and 2-3 little pimples on my cheeks. Usually i don't put anything on my skin like concealer and blush and all that stuff, but recently it was my birthday and my friend, who is really good with makeup, put alot of stuff on my skin and it really helped to hide my pimples. Then i bought some concealer, from the french company ';Vichy Laboratoires - Sebum Proof texture - Anti Imperfection foundation'; and i also use a product from Clinique, ';Up Lightning - Liquid illuminator';. I use it as a liquid blush. Now i just want to make sure that these products or products like these in general won't be bad for my skin and make me break out, any help? Can concealer/foundation/blush make my skin worse?
yes it can, it blocks pores so don't use too much . I would only use the concealer, no foundation. And only on the spots where you need them. VIchy and Clinique are really good brands, so I wouldn't stop using themCan concealer/foundation/blush make my skin worse?
    Well it might...

Have you tried any makeup like ...a Mineral Makeup?

Try to get the REAL mineral kind, some of the ones at the drug store say they are real, and are NOT! Look at the label, or learn on line.

    Hope I helped you :)

I have a skin condition also. Talc, oils, chemicals ......hurt my skin.

    http://www.purminerals.com/
have you ever tryed PROACTIVE??? it helps. But you should try putting toothpaste or keeping your face clean at night. Other then that..makeup does improve your skin. Use the concealer to get the redness out wif lio power to lighting ur redness. Make up does help..its not a BAD thing =)
Just wash your face, before you apply and before you go to bed. That should help control any possible break outs. Your skin may react differently with different brands so just monitor any skin changes.
no it wont make your skin worse. it can clog your pores but it really doesnt

Should I use concealer, foundation, powder, or blush/bronzer?

i want light light makeup i want my makeup to look relaxedShould I use concealer, foundation, powder, or blush/bronzer?
Loose powder. Foundation (liquid or creme) creates a heavy look sometime. Concealer is used under powder or foundation normally, to conceal blemishes and under eye circles. Blush is used to further define cheeks. Bronzer is used to give a ';sun-kissed'; or tanner look.Should I use concealer, foundation, powder, or blush/bronzer?
If you have anything to conceal, I'd suggest using a bit of concealer and then some blush or bronzer. Foundation isn't really all that necessary unless you have blemishes or scars or discoloration on your face...if you must use it, only use a tiny bit and spread it around with some lotion. (Mix the two in your hand or on your sponge.) It'll go further and will look less makeup-y.
    Foundation
Try using an all in one product
this is perfect for the summer adn winter to give a glow of color. it is definetly worth the price and it works on all skin tones. its great http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>

i like both colors but if yr darker skinned i wud use hot n spicy
    foundation.

blush/bronzer is more of a ';WOW'; makeup-

    not a relaxed look
    concealer + foundation + blush

    powder (use only by brush,

or don`t use this ,looks heavy)
If you want a more natural look I would suggest a powder with a bronzer in it and be light with it, that way it looks natural on your skin.
i only use foundation whenever i have a breakout...just to help conceal it. any other time, i use pressed powder as a base, then apply blush to my cheeks and little bit of mascara, eyeliner to the top of my eyelid and then shut my eyes really tight so the eyeliner will transfer some to the bottom eyelid. then i apply lip gloss and thats all...very natural and doesnt feel heavy on my face or anything.
If you want light makeup that looks relaxed skip the concealer all together. Foundation should only be used if you need to even out your skin tone or cover up any imperfections. Finish up with a little blush on the apples of your cheeks and the bronzer

( applied every where the sun would hit... the tip of your nose, forehead and cheekbones...but dont over do it) will give you that sun kissed look that makes you look like you have been on vacation. SO I say go for the blush and bronzer and maybe a little lipgloss for the look you want.
wellll i use foundation but if u want ur skin 2 look reallly smooooth then use powder

Whats the best foundation, conealer, and blush?

i have really sensitive skin :DWhats the best foundation, conealer, and blush?
    Chanel Teint Innocence Foundation

Laura Mercier OIl Free Foundation as concealer

Nars BlushWhats the best foundation, conealer, and blush?
Bobbi Brown has great foundation and concealer.

    MAC has great blush.

The Bobbi Brown foundation is very light with good coverage it doesn't look caky like other foundations. The concealer can hide just about anything and works well for dark circles under the eyes. Bobbi Brown uses lighter concelear than the foundation to make the eyes ';pop';. The name of the foundation is just called Skin Foundation SPF 15 and the concelear is Creamy Concealer Kit.

There isn't a specific name for the blush because they are all the same just different shades.

Go to your local department store and the makeup artists at both of the counters can help you. Good luck!!!
Bare escentuals it's all natural, many lines claim to be mineral makeup but they still have other stuff in them. It won't harm your skin at all and it's good for your skin I use the entire line . They have great colors of blush. The concealer works great I get purple mark on my skin from pimples ( I'm so fair) and it covers them right up, for this line it's best to put on the foundation first before the concealer, then apply the concealer where it's needed. If you have never used a makeup like this it stays on great I just swam in it and when I was done you couldn't tell I had swam except for my wet hair. It also lasts for a long time, if your concerned about the price.
if you don`t mind spending the extra money, laura mercier`s concealers are great. they get rid of dark circles and scars.

    http://www.lauramercier.com/products/col鈥?/a>

assuming your picture is current, you look pretty young, and you do not need a foundation until you`re about 20 (unless you have bad skin). if you really think you need to even out your complexion, try a tinted moisturizer, such as benefit you rebel lite.

    http://www.benefitcosmetics.com/gp/produ鈥?/a>

nars` blush has gained many raving reviews from consumers and professional makeup artists, but i myself have not tried it. orgasm seems to be the most popular, but there`s a wide variety of colors to choose from.

    good luck!
I like Korres' makeup. You can find it at Sephora locations or www.sephora.com. I too have sensitive skin, and this product does not irritatte me at all because it is extremely natural, organic, and cruelty-free! You can also visit www.korres.com. They have powders, foundations, eyeshadows, blushes, bronzers, etc!
ALMAY smart shade makeup. The foundation and concealer come together. And they also sell the smart shade blush. Its good because you dont have to guess find your shade. And they are hypoallergenic AND wont clog pores. I have eczema and i use it. :)

and its not that expensive. you can buy it at CVS or walgreens :D
I don't know but definitely not almay pure blends. It's organic for sensitive skin, but it doesn't cover anything! I tried it the other day, for my pimple, and I had to put so much on. Then, like 10 minutes later, you could still see the redness from the pimple. It is not worth buying.
Bare minerals is Heath for your skin and for about $60.00 us you get foundation, blush and finishing powder(no consealer needed). It gives you all the coverage you need. If you have an Ulta store in your area, they can show you how to use it.:)
    i would suggest

for foundation: maybelline mineral power liquid foundation

    concealer: covergirl

    and blush: really anything
Mineral make-up is fantastic, but can get expensive. I like Smooth Minerals, their starter kit is only $25, compared to Bare Escentuals which is around $60 http://shop.avon.com/shop/product.aspx?pf_id=37490

  • Is foundation, powder, and blush bad for your skin?

Everyday I where foundation, powder, and blush. I always wash it of when I'm not out so it's not on 24/7. I'm 13 and my mom says I'm too young. The only thing is that EVERYONE in my school wears makeup. I don't want to be the only one who's not! And let me tell you, I Iook good in makeup.

Is makeup bad for your skin?

If so, what does it do?

Are there any ways to prevent damage? Is foundation, powder, and blush bad for your skin?
I think you are at an age where you can wear makeup, but I think you are too young for the foundation part. I think foundation is usually used by older women to smooth out their complexions. At your age, your complexion should be fine and so i would suggest you skip the foundation. The foundation may have a tendency to plug your pores or cause breakouts. A light powdering should actually smooth out your skin tone if you need it. Blush is fine.

Some makeup can be bad for your skin, especially if it has perfurmes or harsh ingredients. You always want to buy cosmetics that are of good quality.

Good skin care is based on washing your face in the a.m. and p.m., and use a moisturizer. Is foundation, powder, and blush bad for your skin?
If you stick to companies like Neutrogena or Physician's Formula, you can minimize any damage. Clean your face twice a day and keep it moisturized and you should be fine. A good compromise for you and your mom might be tinted moisturizer and blush. Foundation AND powder isn't always necessary (unless it's a translucent setting powder).
i didn't used to think so but now i'm starting to think so because i'm breaking out like crazy now. but there can be other reasons. and just try washing your face twice a day and not putting your hands on it is all i can think of
I dont think its to bad for your skin but if you dont wash it off before you go to bed then yes it would become bad!! you can get foundations to suit your skin tone so it does dry your skin out etc
i think in the long run it is bad for skin.just be sure to use products from good company and not fall for cheap ones.

Best drugstore foundation, concealer, blush and mascara?

I'm super broke right now!! I usually use MAC and other stuff but can't afford it right now cuz I spent all of my money:( So what brand is the best out there? thxx:PBest drugstore foundation, concealer, blush and mascara?
I tend to like to mix and match with my brands. Even if you're low on cash there are still plenty of great drugstore options.

Foundation: Revlon Colorstay or Rimmel's Lasting Finish. When I'm low on coin I tend to go for Rimmel's Lasting Finish. It's incredibly long lasting, gives great coverage and best of all its like $7.

Concealer: Rimmel's Hide the Blemish, NYX's Concealer in a Jar, Rimmel's Recover. Depending on what you are looking for your concealer to do, any of these would be good. Rimmel's Recover concealer is a liquid that is great for covering up dark circles. For blemishes and other slight imperfections opt for Hide the Blemish or NYX's concealer in a jar.

Blush: Jane. I love Jane blushes, especially their mineral pillow blushes. Soft, finely milled blushes at a fraction of the price of a MAC blush.

Mascara: Mascara can be a tricky thing to recommend. We all want different things in a mascara. For volume I would recommend CoverGirl Lash Blast, Prestige's My Biggest Lashes, Maybelline Define a Lash in Volume, NYX Doll Eyes in Volume. If you're more into definition and length CoverGirl's LashExact is great, as is Maybelline's Lash Stiletto.Best drugstore foundation, concealer, blush and mascara?

Use liquid foundation, and cream blush, If it doesn`t work try a cream foundation and a cream blush.

Moisturize your skin first and apply a primer by LAURA MERCIER, the one that was specially designed for dry skin.
    Get a moisturizing foundation...
ok well u can get a moisturizer without the oil and get bare minerals or a cheaper kind at drug stores called organic wear (tha'ts the kind i get) hope i helped
use a moisturizer and a foundation primer!! :} good luck

Traveling to Vegas - does cream foundation, eye shadow, blush, etc. have to be in the quart bag?

Only liquids and gels that you want to carry in your carry-on need to be in a one qt. size zip lock bag. Dry makeup does not need to be in the bag. Any liquids, gels, or makeup you do not need to use while flying are better off in your checked luggage.

  • Caring for blush brush/foundation/powder brushes?

i just recently started using brushes to apply my makeup. what do i do if i dont use the same color blush everyday. would i have to clean the brush with soap and water after every use? b/c with foundation and powder, i use the same kind so i wash them every 3 days. what do i do when caring for the blush brush?Caring for blush brush/foundation/powder brushes?
Well for powder blush, you can easily just take a tissue or napkin and rub the brush all over it to get rid of the excess powder. This will eliminate pretty much all of the pigment of that blush, so you can use a different one. If you're using cream blushes, you can buy a pack of makeup remover wipes and just lightly rub the brush on it until it no longer leaves streaks of color. You don't have to wash them after every use (it's bad for your brushes anyway).

Hope this helps! :)Caring for blush brush/foundation/powder brushes?
MAC makes a great brush cleaner you could try. but a gentle soap (your cleanser or shampoo) and water work great if you'd rather save money.

also, you don't need to wash your blush and powder or eyeshadow brushes more than once week. with the foundation brush, you can wash it more often cause it gets gunky and more bacteria filled faster. for your shadow and blush brushes, just wipe them on a tissue between colours.
Just take you blush brush to your lower thumb, where it meets the back of your hand, keep brushing back and forth. This will remove to color, then you can use your other color blush. You could do this in between washing, also I work at cvs/pharmacy. We have a product that's 4.99 by essence of beauty that kills all the germs on your brushes....this is really good because bacteria can live in the fibers of your brushes! :( hope this helps!!

Rabbits and kittens don't use mascara, so why are people testing this sh!t on them. They get horrible infections and are neglected to the point where most of them die awful painful deaths. They are denied access to vets too.

Im 13, would you rather wear Concealer, eyeliner, mascara or concealer, Foundation, Blush mascara? ?

Pleasee give me yourr opinion (:

I need help :(Im 13, would you rather wear Concealer, eyeliner, mascara or concealer, Foundation, Blush mascara? ?
at ur age I would suggest lipstick %26amp; mascara, because... the chemicals in makeup alter ur chemistry. I would suggest a really good cleanser %26amp; toner at least twice a day. keeping ur skin in good condition instead of weighing it down so early. you will be pleased u did this when your 32-40Im 13, would you rather wear Concealer, eyeliner, mascara or concealer, Foundation, Blush mascara? ?
when i was thirteen the only makeup i wore was mascara and eyeliner. i like eyeliner because it doesn't look like you are wearing a lot of makeup but it makes your eyes pop and it looks great. definitely don't wear foundation or blush or concealer until you're a few years older.
well if your only 13, then you dont want to over due the make up.

you should just wear some mascara and a little bit of eyeliner and concealer. 13 is a little toooo young to be wearing alllll the make up you see stars and high schoolers wear.
if you have to choose just one or two go with mascara and eyeliner .

you dont need all that face stuff unless you get zits or if your going out . on younger girls it looks cakey and cheap . even now , i only wear liner and mascara most days .
concealer and foundation if you need it, but if you dont it will be too much. I would suggest the concealer, eyeliner, and mascara, although blush can be a nice touch as well.
pressed powder concealer, liquid eyeliner for top, kohl liner for bottom, mascara. mascara is a must!
    Eyeliner, mascara, foundation.
im 13, i wear foundation, mascara, the tinyest bit on eyeliner and some gloss or chapstick
You should only use mascara and chapstick. Wash your face daily to avoid breakouts. Dont be anxious to grow up.
    concealer eyeliner macara

but really depends what your skin is like.
im 13, i wear al of those, lmao! id wear mascara, eyeliner, and blush tho.
I think a good eye liner is always an easy way to perk up a look.

Liquid foundation, powder, under eye concealer, blush, spray tan, illuminater, and eye makeup?

Is this too much to wear if it's applied nicely, and very well?

Illuminater is a complexion enhancer that gives you a natural glow.

Opinions?Liquid foundation, powder, under eye concealer, blush, spray tan, illuminater, and eye makeup?
light liquid foundation first just to even out your skin tone,

then concealer so the foundation doesn't rub it off....... then light powder to blend it with big brush.... then lightly brush on bronzer/blush ..... light eye color on top of brow and eyelid.... in crease do a darker color that brings out the color of your eyes..... a lil eye liner and blackest black for your lashes and you are ready girl!Liquid foundation, powder, under eye concealer, blush, spray tan, illuminater, and eye makeup?
Try to use a Foundation that has a powder finish. A eye cream at night to reduce the dark spots under your eyes, that way you don't need the concealer. A spray tan that includes the illumination. and the eye makeup... that way you won't have some many different products and it will cut the price.

E-mail me if you want some great ideas.
I think you should take out either the blush or spray tan, since you have the illuminater to give you a natural glow.

But you can wear whatever you want, and if you apply small amounts of each, it should look fine :)

but if I wore that, I think it would make me look cakey...
    a pic would help.

if it is very clear that you do this. then stop. but if we cant tell then youre okayy.
i say take away the spray tan.. you should be fine if its minimal
    TOO MUCH.
    thats what i wear lol
do not put on too much. if you use it correctly and lightly it will look great!
sounds heavy but if you know what your doing

    sure

Should I put cream blush on before or after powder foundation?

AfterShould I put cream blush on before or after powder foundation?
afterShould I put cream blush on before or after powder foundation?
    after
After, just don't keep rubbing it or it will get blotchy. If you do it before you won't really see it.
After, powder will cover up the blush, and the bllush should set to powder anyway.
this will give you all the tips you need for applying makeup
After. The powder foundation would cover most of it up.
    After, foundation is always first!
I put it on beforehand because if I don't, it just goes on really spotchy, especially since it's cream blush. I apply the cream and let it settle for a while, then apply powder later as the finishing-touch.

Of course, this is if it's definitely powder foundation. If it's cream or liquid foundation, I apply the blush afterward.
    Before.
After. If you put it on before, the foundation will cover the blush.
If it's cream blush you always want to put your powder on last because that is what keeps it on longer.
    after
    After
After, because foundation will cover it all up if you put it on beforehand.
I put blush after... though my sister says you can also put it before AND after...
    Don't use the two together.
I usually would before, but sometimes the powder foundation can cover the blush, so it depends.
    before

  • What do you suggest as the best foundation makeup for a male crossdresser? Also powder, blush, lipstick, etc

If I shave I have no 5o'clock shadow. Thank you for your help and suggestions. What do you suggest as the best foundation makeup for a male crossdresser? Also powder, blush, lipstick, etc
MAC - they are not judgemental of however fun way you choose to live your life. They have the class not to make fun of people who crossdress. What do you suggest as the best foundation makeup for a male crossdresser? Also powder, blush, lipstick, etc
Try Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse! It's fabulous. Or you can try true match from L'oreal. I have tried all and so far these are my favs.
I use Cover Girl Tru-Blend foundation and powder. I've tried them all and I have found this brand to be best for me.
MAC cosmetics. The absolute best. I know several men who wear their make up. I love it as well.
Dermablend, it covers a multitude of sins.
Be yourself! Whatever you like and love! I have a friend who cross dresses and it's just how you choose to do yourself up!
try mac cosmetics. they are really good. with everything. so go there.
i need to tell you that you are a man.. i hope you are not gay.. but if you are not then my advice is to not where makeup
Try Mary Kay, it has good products
I had a friend who was a drag queen %26amp; would use nothing but Dermablend. Try MAC blush, and try a long-wearing lipstick. MAC has a good one, as do Max Factor (Lipfinity) and Cover Girl (Outlast).
I think that you should go all out with it. But not clownish! Maybe a color that is your skin tone. And for lipstick get something that you think is pretty. That you think is in the rainbow family. I mean you already roll like that!!!
Dermablend. Absolutely. It is what pro's use to cover up skin flaws, scars, etc. It'll make your skin look Perfect! I would recommend it to models, actors - any performer. Trust me. dermablend.com.

Does it look stupid to put blush on without foundation?

because i already have beatiful skin i just want to brighten it up a littleDoes it look stupid to put blush on without foundation?
absolutely not. lots of women dont need foundation. you just brighten away all you need for that fresh look!Does it look stupid to put blush on without foundation?
no because some people do not need foundation for instance me I use a bronzer across me cheeks to bring out my cheekbones execellent
No, it's okay to do that. Lucky you.
yes! hello? what re you thinking? lol!
foundation, or powder, will give you a good ';base'; for your blush. you don't really need it though if you have nice skin AND you're not using a lot of blush. if you just dust on a tiny bit, it will look very natural.
It doesn't look stupid...just don't go overboard with it. If you already have beautiful skin why risk clogging your pores with unnecessary foundation?
nahh it will look ok just DONT put 2 much on
No problem if you have tan or dark skin. Why not? This is more natural. And natural looking is beautiful looking.
    no
    YES DEFINITELY!
YUP, IT LOOKS REALLY, REALLY STUPID.

FOLLOW THE LADY'S INSTRUCTIONS AT THE COSMETIC COUNTER. SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE IS TALKING ABOUT.

IF YOU HAVE REALLY NICE SKIN, JUST PINCH YOUR CHEEKS A LITTLE TO BRIGHTEN UP. ANOTHER IDEA IS TO THINK OF A REALLY NAUGHTY JOKE AND MAYBE YOU WILL BLUSH A LITTLE BIT.
not at all go for it !!

When i blush, me foundation cakes!?

When i go really red when i'm embarrases, which happens a lot, my foundation sort of flakes over the redness. its really annoying me and my face always feels really hot!

    Please help me!

ThankyouWhen i blush, me foundation cakes!?
well i would try using a powder foundation. bare minerals is a really good foundatioin...When i blush, me foundation cakes!?
Me too. Maybe your skin is not Hidratated enough.

Try using a moisturizer., Godd luck

Use same brush for foundation, bronzer and blush?

is it ok to use the same brush for blush, bronzer and powder foundation? I have a fat one that I use for all 3. I always wear foundation and then either bronzer of blush on top of it.Use same brush for foundation, bronzer and blush?
It's not very hygienic to use the same brush for all three products b/c chances are, you're probably using different forms whether it may be liquid foundation, powdered bronzer and a cream...or whatever it may be. Certain brushes are designed for certain products so you'll get better coverage and smother application. If you're not sure which to use, Essence of Beauty brushes(from CVS) are affordable and great, and each handle is labeled for its use. If you truly want quality brushes, MAC are one of the best, they're a bit of an investment but you can bet it'll last forever as long as you take care of them.Use same brush for foundation, bronzer and blush?
Foundation brushes are usually flat, unless you use a powder foundation then just use a kabuki or powder brush, (powder brushes are the largest you can get)

Bronzer brushes are usually a little smaller in fiber length and are denser. while blusher brushes can be angled or the same size a a powder but with longer fibers/hairs.

Its best to use separate brushes for each thing.

and remember to wash your brushes!!! with either brush cleaner or shampoo and conditioner. otherwise bacteria will grow and could lead to contra-indications like impetigo or ringworm... its not pretty.
You should have three different brushes.

Doesn't really do harm to use the same one, but you won't get the best results. Also, you'll be mixing the colours which won't give you the finish that you should get.

The blush brush is small so you can define your cheek bones more, which you wouldn't be able to do with a bigger brush.
you should have different brushes for each, because a bronzer brush is a diff shape to a foundation brush etc.

I have a pale complexion, like white white. What colour foundation, blush, eyeshadow and lipgloss should i use

You should have you foundation matched if you are pale plae an ivory 100 should work and then stick with pale colors pinks, light browns things like that

go to www.marykay.com and you can do a makeover. it will ask you your hair color eye color skin color ect.. and then it will tell you what colors look best on you

i hope i have helped you if you have any other questions or would like some free mary kay samples feel free to e mail me at

rob_jonda@yahoo.comI have a pale complexion, like white white. What colour foundation, blush, eyeshadow and lipgloss should i use
i have pale colouring too. test foundation on the back of your hand to check it matches you want to get one as close as posible to your skin tone, choose a rosy coloured blush but make sure its sublitle dont apply to much. brown or neutral colour eye shades and either clear lip gloss or one with a very subtile hint of pink.I have a pale complexion, like white white. What colour foundation, blush, eyeshadow and lipgloss should i use
if u are that pale, u might want to consider using a Translucent powder for shine, and a Bronzer for creating the illusion of color. u put it in the highlighted areas of ur face, like the cheeks, nose, forehead, and chin. then u can put a light dusting (of stain) of blush on ur cheekbones. that will also give u much more color. but don't go too dark as it will contrast w/ ur light skin. try Benefit Benetint, it's a stain that u brush a small amount on ur cheeks and just blend in w/ ur fingers. u can use any color eyeshadow as long as it is complementary ur eyes.. ur safest bet is a pastel lavendar, or a tan/light brown and then a darker version of the color for the crease, to create Depth. i suggest eyeliner to emphasis the lash line, as well as Mascara. as for lip gloss, u can never go wrong w/ pinks.... i like orchid pinks right now but the trend seems to be melons and peaches .... don't worry just practice. if u want, try going to www.eyeslipsface.com, everything is $1 and im sure i'ts good for practicing on urself.
It also depends on the color of your eyes and hair.
When buying a foundation try to find a shade that matches your neck. You really just want to use the foundation to give your skin an even tone and hide blemishes, don't try to re-color your skin. Same thing goes for the blush find a shade that looks natural on you. With the eye shadow and lip gloss experiment with different colors but with a fair complexion I wouldn't go with anything that creates too much of a contrast. Make-up should be used to enhance your beauty. When you wear too much or use it to create something that you are not you end up looking like fictional cartoon character.

Get a foundation that is the same colour as your skin. Go to a department store and get someone at the beauty section to find you colours that suit. It's totally worth it!!
match the foundation, pale pink blusher - not red or you'll look like father xmas - v.festive. wear pale eyeshadows that go with your eyes and a pink glossy lipgloss
I have strawberry blonde hair and green eyes with fair skin, and I use the lightest shade of foundation (I think mine is Ivory or something). Basically most lip colors are ok except for the purples and brownish reds. I go for pinks, reds, fiery reds, and even some peachy colors.

My blush is more of a light pink/peachy color. I use brown eyeliner and mascara. I avoid using black because it is so dark and makes my eyes look too unatural. I think fair skin people can use most shades of eyeshadow depending on the look you are going for...but usually I use earth tones, greens, sometimes pinks or light purples..

I've heard that you aren't suppose to match your lipstick/eyeshadow with your clothing...
Use pale colors to highlight your natural coloring. Pale pink lip-gloss and blush, light brown eyeshadow. If your are young, you probably don't need foundation in the daytime.
you could go to mac. and itll stay on and not smudge it wont make you looked all caky either...well if u apply it right.

Your foundation should be the color of your skin but maybe LITTLE darker...to add colo.

then try a darker pink ((not too bright)) or a bronzer around your face to darken your complexion and define your face shape....

then use a shadestick to make sure you can really see your eyeshadow....you could use mroe nautral lookin eyeshadows like maybe a gold in the lid and a darker brown or violet in the crease...then line the top of your eyelashes with black eyeliner or the inner parts of your eyes....and

    try rimmel lengthening mascara...

then you could use a light pink plumping limpgloss from mac...they only have one plumping one...
use a natural color foundation, pink eyeshadow for brown eyes, blue eyeshadow for blue eyes, a light pink blush, and light pink lipgloss.
Pinky tones, use blush to help lift your skin or a light shade of bronzer in the summer. If you want to try not to be so pale then use foundation a shade or two darker and mix some in with your normal foundation, to make you slightly warmer toned and hopefully not too orange! Just make sure you blend at the edges of your face!! As for eyeshadow it depends on your eyes and hair colour, and how brave you want to be! This program should help,

    http://www.handbag.com/beauty/makeup/mak鈥?/a>

    Good Luck!
I'd go with a medium foundation (powder) then a purplish-brownish color for the blush. For the eyeshadow a gold. and a very, very glossy pinkish-redish lip gloss.
you need to match foundation to your skin or wear none at all

you want a pale pink blush %26amp; brown / gold eyeshadow

    clear gloss
well what color hair and eyes do you have? and do me a favor look at your wrist and tell me what color do your veins appear to be more of a blue or green
ummm try a dark colur of fondation not to dark but mid- line dark and for blush use dark hot pink and for eyeshadow nice soft lovely pink lipgloss u should wear mid-pink!!
if you want More glam try to line your lid with grey don't wear foundation u don't need it wears green Gray colours on lids and clear berry colours on lips same with cheeks if you want more glam line lids top and bottom with grey or silver liner xx
Your foundation should be one of the lightest shades they sell. Either an Ivory or a pale Ivory. Blush will depend on you...try both pinks and peaches and see what looks better. I'd stay away from eyeshadow being so pale...it will stick out like a sore thumb even if applied lightly. If you must, use earth tones like light browns. I'd go for a light brown/medium brown eye liner instead which will highlight and ennunciate your eyes better along with a brown/black mascara. As far as lipgloss....match the blush..either pinks/mauves or peaches.
    Don't!

If you're that pale, dress in black all the time and don't wear make-up at all. ^_^
Someone sugeested dark foundation - DON'T! Always use the same colour as your skin. I'm pale too and it can be very difficult to find make up that's not too dark. Some companies can cutom blend a shade for you. Too much colour can look odd on pale skin. Unless you want a dramatic, look stick to neutrals.
go with the pinks and stuff, look at nicole kidman shes very pale and looks sooo pretty with all of her pink. i would go somewhere where you can see the foundation on cuz you really have to see it on if you dont want a make up line, then you look like your wearing a mask lol
    Hi,

I think an 'ivory' foundation and a light bronzer perhaps, applied to the cheek bones and forehead where you would naturally catch the sun on your face. This will give you a natural glow. Use a lip tint such as Benetint rather than a lipgloss to make it look natural. For shine just put some vaseline over the top. Try sweeping the bronzer over your eyelids because an eyeshadow colour would depend on your eye colour.

Oh and line your eyes to make them stand out. Black may look to bold in contrast, try a brown and brown mascara.

  • IHow do you use bronzer, the kind with the brush. I usually use a liquid foundation and blush. Does bronzer?

take the place of the blush and do I put it in basically same area or more all across the face. Also if I use a powder finish do I put it before or after the bronzer.IHow do you use bronzer, the kind with the brush. I usually use a liquid foundation and blush. Does bronzer?
Yes, basically bronzer is applied in the general areas a blush is applied, but the two are different. You can put bronzer and blush on together (if you wish). Bronzer can be applied so that it acts as natural shadows on your face- you can put it on your forehead, the bridge of your nose, the apples of your cheeks (or just underneath the cheekbone, with blush on top of the cheekbone- just make sure you blend well), and very slightly on the swell of your chin. Apply your powder before bronzer to set your foundation. Hope this helps :)IHow do you use bronzer, the kind with the brush. I usually use a liquid foundation and blush. Does bronzer?
Bronzer powder is great for an overall natural glow. Look for one that has a little bit of fine sparkle for an extra glow for your skin, and a little darker than you normal skin tone.

It does not take the place of blush usually. You can mix blush with your bronzer on you apples of your cheeks, but use just bronzer under your cheekbones.

You will want to use a brush specifically for bronzer, which is like a blush brush but more bristles. Starting just below the cheekbones, put a light layer of bronzer in the hollows. Do the same on the other side. Put a little on th of the forehead-hair line for a sun-kissed look, and a little under each jawbone, softening at the chin to define your face.

Bronzer powder is great for dusting on the base of your neck and anywhere else you want an extra little glow on the skin. I put bronzer on after the foundation, but before powder, so the powder can 'set' everything and it lasts longer.
in my opiniun bronzer looks best right under th cheak bones it makes them stand out then just blush on top and ur good
before you put on the bronzer, it has to bond and stick to something and it won't do that if you're just going to put it on your face.

use a tinted mosturizer. i like Estee Lauder's Day Wear Plus, it mosturizes your skin and protects it from the sun as well and gives you some color but not too much.

once you put on the tinted mosturizer, than you apply the bronzer by using the brush. use it along the contours of your face, underneath the apples of your cheeks. then, you brush some of the bronzer on your chin, the bridge of your nose and your forehead to highlight these areas.

with bronzer, yOU CAN'T REALLY MESS UP. it's just going to give you a beautiful glow all around =)
after the powder put bronzer across forehead,on cheekbones ,and on chin, down nose.

Stupid question....are concealor, powder, foundation and blush all different things?

are concealor, powder, foundation and blush all the same thing or r they different and if ur 15 do u wear all of this or is some of it for people with facial blemishis?Stupid question....are concealor, powder, foundation and blush all different things?
    they are all different.

15 year olds do not need blush. Blush makes your cheeks appear pink (or red). It looks trashy on anyone under 30.Stupid question....are concealor, powder, foundation and blush all different things?
    Yes, they are different things.

You can wear foundation to make your skin look clearer.

Concealer is used to cover zits, dark under eye circles, or redness.

Oh, and there is no such thing as a stupid question.

    :)
Sounds like you are just starting out with makeup!

    1. Concealer: comes in skin tones and strange colors...confusing huh? You buy a skin toned one, one shade lighter than your skin, to hide dark areas like scars or undereye or spots or freckles. The colored ones are Corrective Concealers and are used for specific needs: green hides red, yellow hides dark or purpleish areas, like bruises or undereye.

    2. Powder: usually used last to mattify your face and absorb excess oil. Most are made with talc which clogs your pores.

    I'd avoid the powder.

    3. Foundation: applied over concealer. Comes in various forms like mousse, liquid, cream to powder, loose mineral, stick, etc....

If you have oily skin...avoid those with oils in them. Sticks, creams liquids feel heavy and are hard to blend. Tend to leave a line along your jaw, especially if the color isn't precisely your skin color. I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND mineral foundation...(i use LAminerals)

    4. BLush: Used to give the cheeks and sometimes forhead a little color, as if you are ';blushing';. Applied after foundation.

Comes in various forms, just like the foundation.

LAminerals has a starter kit for like $29 that includes your choice of 3 items...might be a good place to start. And is healthy for your skin. Try some samples first to see what shades look best on your. THey are only like $1 and they ship em free.

    Best of Luck 2 ya!
Concealer is to cover up blemishes and dark circles.

Powder, don't even use it. It isn't the 50s anymore.

Foundation is a liquid that U use 2 even out UR skintone.

And blush, well, you should know what that is.
    lol yeah hon they're different.

concealer is meant for blemishes or dark circles

powder/foundation can be similar or different. they're for all over skin tone evening. powder is self explanatory, but foundation can be pressed powder or liquid.

blush is just a color for your cheeks, usually used to highlight your cheekbones (colors range from pink to red)

if you have clear beautiful skin all you need to do is maybe highlight your cheeks to color your face up a bit, and if you have some blemishes use the concealer and bareminerals foundation (my reccomendation) to cover up your pimples while also giving your skin a fresh glow

    good luck!

Do u think D&G blush and foundation is nice?

It 's OK, it's just the name D%26amp;G, it's not worth it.

What's the difference between a concealer, foundation, and blush..?

i'm not sure which is best for which type of skin.. thanksWhat's the difference between a concealer, foundation, and blush..?
    Concealer hides blemishes.

Foundation evens out your skin tone.

Blush is for color at your cheeks. What's the difference between a concealer, foundation, and blush..?
a concealor covers pimples and odd spots

foundation helps to keep your face smooth

and blush is to give your cheeks color

im not really a expert but go to

    http://www.maybelline.com/index.aspx

and it will give you a lot of information
??? uh concealer is to cover up your acne.

foundation is a base for your makeup.

    blush makes your cheeks pinker.

    i recommend Mac cosmetics.
concealer makes everything even [hides blemishes and stuff] foundation makes everything smooth [like perfect skin] and takes shine away...blush adds color
a concealer is used under your eyes for bags and dark circles. foundation is applied on the entire face or where ever you need it and blush is brushed on the cheeks. go to a makeup counter like in macy's to find out which colors are good for your skin type.
a concealer hides unwanted things on your face

foundation is the base of your make up

and blush adds color to your cheeks
concealor: this is used to cover up blemishes, like zits, pimples or red blocthes..

foundation: this is to cover you entire face, basically to give your face one smooth color. when shopping for foundation test it along your jaw bone to see if it blends into your skin tone.

Blush: this is used for your cheekbones, to give your face some color. Apply along the cheeck bones
Concealer hides the bad stuff ( spots etc)

Foundation gives you a flawless skin

Blush is applied to your cheeks for colour

I recommend clinique, mac and Elizabeth Arden
foundation evens out ur skin and makes it the same color

concealer covers up stuff on ur face like zits or pimples, etc,Concealer is used to cover blemishes and marks in your face. While foundation is the overall coverage of your face. You do not put concealer all over your face only in the problem areas where there are markings. and blush just gives your face some color, depending on your skin tone.
Use them all! You put a concealer on to hide real trouble spots. You put foundation on everywhere to smoothen your look. Lastly, you put a little blush on your cheeks to make the look natural looking.

  • Do you put your blush on before or after applying High Definition Powder over your foundation?

After. The powder will grab onto the foundation and set it in place, if you were to do that with the blush, the blended-in effect would look unnatural. It goes foundation, powder, blush.Do you put your blush on before or after applying High Definition Powder over your foundation?
After missy. You want a cute flushed effect. Put the HD powder on the blush and there goes the coy girly look you want to achieve.Do you put your blush on before or after applying High Definition Powder over your foundation?
After, because if you put the powder on after, it will just cover up the blush.

this is a great place to find the right one
Clinique has the best foundation, and conceeler, and they will match it to your face, if u can't afford that then try revlon -for combination/oily skin foundation, worked for me when I didn't want to spend to much$$
Bare minerals, follow the steps in the started kit
